NEIL HUNTER
Neil Hunter is a pseudonym of the prolific Lancashire-born writer Michael R. Linaker. As Neil Hunter, Mike wrote two classic western series, BODIE THE STALKER and JASON BRAND. Under the name Richard Wyler he produced four stand-alone westerns, INCIDENT AT BUTLER’S STATION, THE SAVAGE JOURNEY, BRIGHAM’S WAY and TRAVIS. Another western, HIGH KILL, was later published in the SUNDANCE series as BOUNTY KILLER. His western output can also be found under the names ‘Dan Stewart’, ‘John C. Danner’ and ‘Frederick H. Christian’, the latter name employed when he ghost-wrote an additional five titles in Frederick Nolan’s popular FRANK ANGEL series. Mike has written three ‘nasty’ horror novels under his own name, but since the late 1980s has become best-known as one of the most popular contributors to Gold Eagle’s MACK BOLAN series, chronicling the adventures of PHOENIX FORCE, THE EXECUTIONER and STONY MAN, as well as his own action-adventure series, CADE.

Not going to review all of the brand series since we have read them all......... Brand is one tough hombre, but aren't they all... Shot multiple time, lost many quarts of blood, beaten to a pulp often but survives, what a guy.... Most of the stories are good and not bad reading.... Went from "Brand" to the Bodie series, not worth the effort folks...Product details

This title is a good action packed western in the older style,
Neil Hunter is a aficionado of this genre`.
Good book that keep's you reading and i have all the Brand set on my kindle and the price is very good
Pretty darn good western reading. I bought it on kindle and it is really great and convenient to read there.
I started reading this and finished it the next afternoon. I was really engrossed and caught up in the action of this book , haven't read many of Hunter's books, however, will certainly look forward to more
Brand is a hard man on a tough mission. He will not be deterred from his task. Well written and hard to put down until it is completed.
Lots of fun reading. The author has a great deal of imagination, and a very good sense of humor. I was expecting a connection between Cade's partner and the woman droid that helped with passage to space.
One part Blade Runner, one part Robocop, and one part Lethal Weapon, this Hunter book is another Thomas Jefferson Cade adventure that rollicks along at a good clip.
Fun way to pass a rainy afternoon.
Note This one is book #2; the first book is Darksiders (A Cade Adventure) and the follow-up is Firestreak.
